Community Service Programs

#

All Green Services encourages volunteering by our employees. The whole focus of our company is to provide services that protect people and the earth on which we all live. We believe that it is important for all of us to contribute to a happier and healthier planet. Here are some of the activities that are important to us:

Paid Day Off to Volunteer

We sponsor a special Volunteering Works! program and give our employees a paid day off to volunteer at the organization of their choice.

The Smile Train

Every year we make a contribution to Smile Train. Unlike many charities that do many different things, The Smile Train is focused on solving a single problem: cleft lip and palate.

Clefts are a major problem in developing countries where there are millions of children who are suffering with unrepaired clefts. Most cannot eat or speak properly, aren’t allowed to attend school or hold a job.  They face very difficult lives filled with shame and isolation, pain and heartache.

The good news is every single child with a cleft can be helped with surgery that costs as little as $250 and takes as little as 45 minutes.

Our contributions to The Smile Train support our goal of contributing to a happier planet. We believe that there is nothing as wonderful as seeing someone smile and are committed to helping organizations that achieve that by making people healthier and able to sustain themselves.

The Salvation Army

The Salvation Army is serving more people in the USA than ever before. They have seen large increases in the number of Americans seeking the basic necessities of life - food, shelter, and warmth. More than 30 million people received help from The Salvation Army in 2008.  The Salvation Army provides a broad array of community services to help those in need.

All Green Services contributes to the Salvation Army to assist them in their battle.

Operation Back Pack –Volunteers of America

Did you know that there are a number of school-age children living in the tri-state area who are in danger of becoming homeless or who are already living in a shelter? One of the most devastating consequences of homelessness is the impact it has on children's education. Homeless and homeless-at-risk children face tremendous stigmatization; as a result, they are more likely than students living in more stable home environment to be placed in special education classes and to drop out of school.

Operation Backpack is Volunteers of America's back-to-school drive that asks corporate sponsors to bring backpacks to our offices. The business community participates by engaging their employees in backpack and school supply drives. In addition to giving the children a sense of confidence and hope, Operation Backpack relieves the children's families of a significant financial burden and helps them begin the school year with a brand new backpack. Our founder has participated in Operation Backpack since 2006 and continues to believe in this important organization.
